Lessons Learnt

The thing about working where I work, you encounter three types of people generally.
1. Business people. Those who like salads because it makes them look cool, those who like spending lots of money on salads, or those who genuinely like salads.
2. Foreigners. Many of my customers today weren't from Australia. It was really interesting hearing all the cool accents :) I even had an Asian French girl order, but her voice was so deep and her accent so thick it was hard to decipher what she wanted.
3. Older people. Those who like salads, those who like parties with salads, those with children/grandchildren.

I had to clean up the Chicken Oven today T_T It was kinda gross looking at all the oil, but it didn't take too long to clean, since most of the parts are taken to the kitchens. I just clean the rotating thing and the oven itself. It smelt nice though.

I missed Final Assembly for work. I thought my manager didn't get my call, so I went to work anyway. I should have come late instead.. I missed out on some good stuff.

I also learnt about 'Visual Merchandising' a.k.a spreadouteverythingsoitlooksniceohandyouhavetoturneverythingtherightwayotherwisetheuppermanagementteamgetsangry.
Ha.

I had my first orders of rolls and wraps and I learnt how to wrap up a wrap.

I still made tons of mistakes... like charging people wrong things, figuring out how to do markdowns etc. But the seniors really took good care of me. Especially Kaylani and Elizabeth. Kaylani is super sweet and always talks to me whenever we have no customers. Elizabeth calls me 'dear' and teaches me stuff I don't know haha!

My lunch today:

I think I got paid for completing my training :) YAY! But I think I might have to wait another week or so for my actual pay to arrive.
