Holidays begin~!

Exams are finally finished and even then there are still so many things to do! So I have a super huge post full of (not so) pretty pictures :)

I got my glasses done (about time too!). They're just cheap frames I bought while I was in China and just had prescription lenses put in. They make me look smart right?

I've also been eating a lot of sweet potatoes during exam period. I love sweet potatoes so much but the prices are rising so I've been eating less of them.

I found the creme caramel puddings at the supermarket. I loved these as a little kid and it's been YEARS since I've had one.

After my exams were done, my parents took me to La Porchetta for dinner. It was a new branch that had opened recently around my area. I ordered a parmagiana but I didn't realise how big it was until it got to the table!

For my dad's birthday I bought him a cake from David Jones. Chocolate Hazelnut! The cake is super rich so eating too much of it would make you feel sick.

Last week I met up with Cute guy for coffee and whatnot. If you follow my Tumblr then you'll know who I'm talking about. We went to Koko Black and I ordered a Iced Mocha. Unfortunately, that day I was feeling sick and I didn't really have the appetite to have chocolate. So I only drank a little and left the rest untouched.

That day I also met up with a couple of high school friends for some late night karaoke. Plenty of strangers there too, but after a few drinks things weren't so awkward.

Yesterday I caught up with a old friend of mine for frozen yoghurt :) I also felt like eating macarons so I bought some. The cute guy at the Cupcake Family convinced me to buy 6 for $10. Haha~!

I also lost my wallet a week ago so I had to buy a new one to replace it. It's a cheap wallet from Strandbags to tide me over until I can afford a Miu Miu one. Teehee.

Today, I bought some new makeup and put a order on ebay for a 120 palette. The SA at the Dior counter was so lovely that I bought a lipstick as well as the foundation. It's called Rock n Roll (720) ^^

I also had my hair cut short(er). The hairdresser cut my fringe WAY too short so now I have to pin it up otherwise it looks strange :(

OKAY THAT'S THE LAST MONTH OR SO RECAPPED :D

Next post will be after Anime Camp~!

Pho me up.
Today my mum had to go get a blood test. She's been unwell lately so she went to get a blood test to check for anything abnormal.

Afterwards, we went to eat Pho at Richmond. There's this one restaurant that I really like eating at, I'm not sure what it's called but their menu is pretty simple.
My Beef Combination Special!

Jackfruit smoothie ^^

I went shopping with my mum and it felt so good to be able to do something like that. I can't really remember when I went shopping with her.
I bought a few things because like my mum, I like spending money.
Artbox was having a 50% off sale so I picked up a few cute things hehe :3 Pretty pens ^^

And a new mascara... cause I like mascaras and the Great Lash was dry and crappy :(

I also bought a storage container for my makeup. Unfortunately, it's not big enough for my makeup. I'm pretty sure I'll need a bigger one once I put the big fat order for the NYX makeup.

My parents were so cute today while shopping for a juicer. My mum suddenly wanted to make juice so we went and bought a juicer. And we talked about how we don't have a toaster. My parents were looking at toasters and found this:
And said "Oh look! That would be really good!" and started discussing whether they should buy it.
I had to point out that it was just a toaster that someone had knocked over before they would leave it.

Work was super stressful. I kept thinking about my exams and how unprepared I feel. It affected the way I worked. It felt like I had to finish everything quickly. I also helped out at the Bakery, serving pies and cakes. It was definitely a nice change, learning about how things work in another area at work. But trying to construct the cake boxes was stressful because I'm not very good at that kind of stuff. I like working in the Bakery. Plus cute guys seem to like cakes more than they like salad.

Normal
I could have taken some pictures today to make this post a bit more pretty, but I forgot D:

For the last couple of days, my sleeping routine has been all over the place. I've gone from getting 8hrs per night to only 4hrs. I've been feeling the effects... being very short tempered, falling asleep when I'm studying etc.

I made an amazing breakfast today. Pesto pasta with cheese. I was planning on using chickpeas but I was scared that they wouldn't soak in time and I don't like the smell. They smell super funky.

For lunch, I bought Chicken Parmagiana (?) from one of the campus food outlets. It is the best hot meal I've had on campus so far. I was super hungry and I finished the entire thing! The chicken is as big as your face and it comes with chips :)
I'll take a photo of it next time I eat it haha!

I tried doing a practice exam for my Business Statistics, but I couldn't do it closed book and in time. I spent 5hrs + trying to finish it, and I found that there were still things I was confused about :( Hopefully after doing a few more practices, I'll understand the content fully and get it done in 2hrs and not 5.

Hopefully my SWOTVAC posts aren't too boring for you!

Learning to Like Statistics?!

Are you guys studying hard?

Studying so far has been quite a roller coaster for me. I started the week off really well. Now it's like, I can't even concentrate for a full hour.

So many things are going through my mind it's crazy. I don't know whether or not I'm feeling happy or upset.

The past few days I've been trying to learn all my Business Statistics stuff. At first I really hated the unit, but I think it's because I didn't really understand it. Now that I'm starting to comprehend it, I'm starting to un-dislike it, maybe even like it?
Sometimes people hate things because they don't completely understand it. And then others hate things because they feel inferior.

Like the new layout? I think it's rather... clean?

The real hell begins now.
I just finished my 1200 character Chinese essay. Submitted it. And as soon as I clicked the 'Send' button I felt a sense of relief.

But even so, I'll be headed to the library tomorrow morning to study for exams. I feel really bad because I've let my Business Statistics marks get to a new low. I have never failed any classes or tests but my marks have been really poor. I'm talking about 30/100 for my last Multiple Choice quiz.

I'm a little upset at the fact that David Jones is having their midyear sale next week. I told myself I wouldn't spend any money on clothes/makeup/notdailyessentials until exams were over. For some reason, both Chadstone and David Jones decided to punish me for making such a decision.

To Do List:
1. Study.
2. Decide on whether or not to go to the exam after party (aka convince Mother to let me out and not to tell Dad until AFTER).
3. Study.
4. Work.
5. Study some more.
6. Own the exams.

Poo.
I think I know why I barely ever post.
1) I don't take many photos anymore.
2) Nothing happens in my life that I think would interest you.
3) Blogger wouldn't let me access the dashboard.
4) I'm writing my Chinese essay.

This week has just been a really good week. I feel like this isn't really the best place to put love-life related things since all this blog really is for is my day-to-day things. For some strange reason, it feels like Tumblr is more private (?!) despite the fact that more people I know in real life follow/read my Tumblr as opposed to this blog.

I really do like this guy. It's unfortunate that he has a girlfriend though. Normally, I'd give up any romantic feelings as soon as I find out the person I'm crushing on is already taken. However, this time I haven't. I don't know why, but I just can't. I don't want to do anything that will give me the label 'homewrecker' because that's the last thing I want to do, but I'm scared that over time, I won't care about that label.
I just wish things could work out well without anyone getting hurt, whether it's me, him or his girlfriend.

There's a old man at university who sells roasted sweet potatoes. I managed to get my hands on some the other day and they're so goood! I was eating mine with a spoon because they were too hot to hold and my friend told me off ><"

I still have 1000 words of my Chinese essay to write. Hopefully I'll get it done tonight so I can send it early tomorrow morning.

Happy
I had a 10 hr shift today D: It's been quite some time since I've done a 10hr shift but quite honestly, it doesn't feel that long. I look forward to all the breaks and after each break, I work for about 2-3 hrs. It was my 2nd time opening today so I was quite nervous as I was trying to get everything done properly. Apparently I did a good job ^^

Overall, I had a pretty good day at work, not many annoying customers and a relatively easy day. There was a cute guy who bought something from me and as he reached out to hand me money, I saw that he had a tattoo on his arm/wrist. Normally, I don't really think people should get tattoos just because they're permanent and if you want to get them removed, then it's really difficult. But he was so cute that the tattoo made him look/feel very badass.

I'm currently reading The Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner. If you've watched the movie and want to read the book, then the part that the movie focuses on is actually the end third of the book. Reading about his childhood and the years leading up to the time he was doing the 'internship' at Dean Witter really does make you realise that there is more to his story than those years to juggling his career, the fight against being homeless and taking care of his son.
Although I haven't finished it, it's definitely a worthwhile read!

Hehe, hopefully tomorrow I'll be studying with Cute Boy and watching Running man with him. -kekeke-

Milk Obsession
As per usual, nothing much has happened in my life in the past week that really required me to blog.
At uni, if I arrive early, usually I'll sleep on the red couches where my friends usually hang around. It's a habit I've developed quite recently due to the fact that I don't get enough sleep.

If you guys follow my Tumblr, then you'll know that my love life has taken quite a turn for the better. Unfortunately for me, he isn't single (like I thought he was). But it's okay since I enjoy his company and an innocent crush can't hurt anyone right?

Apparently I'm 'famous' in my Business Stats class. Last week I finished a submission super fast. My tutor thought it was strange cause when I opened the door to leave, he asked "No questions this week?"
I'm usually one of the last to leave. I'm always the one that he helps because I don't know what to do.
I didn't turn up for my tutorial this week since I was too tired and slept in. Apparently my tutor asked my friend "I wonder how fast she can finish the tutorial exercise this week?"
Haha.

Last night, winter at my house was officially marked with hot pot! I really love hot pot and during winter we used to eat hot pot every few weeks.
Omnomnom fishy~!

I went and bought some milk candy and some milk tea. I have a weird obsession with milk flavoured things and I think it's because I can't have regular milk cause it gives me tummy aches when I drink it by it self. Study snacks~

I also went into Diva to buy some earrings (since I always seem to lose just one in a pair) and came out with some necklaces and a ring. They're having a $5 sale at the moment, so I took the opportunity and bought some really cute things.
I was in a rush so I didn't check the size of the ring. It's too big for me to wear on my middle finger but it's okay on my index finger.

Hello Winter~ ♡
Winter has finally come!
(Excuse the awkward photo. It was windy and rainy!)

I have a horrible propensity to spend money.
Today after work, I wanted to buy some makeup since it feels like it's been a while since I've bought any...

Unsatisfied with what Priceline had to offer, I turned my eyes to..
Dior!

The packaging is so beautiful, that it was worth every cent of the $103 that I paid (well, I paid $80~ since I have a staff discount). The weight of the packaging is really nice. Compared to the drugstore palettes, the weight is a lot heavier and more stable in your hand. I haven't used it or even swatched it yet. I'm saving its first use for Monday (hehe ^^). It comes with two brushes, a sponge tip and one with an angled brush to use with the liner.

The SA even gave me a sample of Miss Dior despite the fact that I had knocked over one of the perfumes with my bag earlier. She was so lovely about it. (I love where I work haha!)

I'll let you guys know how it goes and whether or not it's worth your money :)

A few days ago, I was sent something by Maybelline. Recently they came out with a new product called Babylips so they're sending out samples to random people who've signed up for their newsletters. It's like a lip balm concept. It's not the most moisturising lipbalm but it smells really good.
I don't think I'm going to use the $3 off Voucher though... I have too many mascaras :( And the next one I was hoping to get was YSL.

I also bought a Hello Kitty case for my Macbook. My poor Macbook keeps getting all these weird scuffs and stains (nothing a damp cloth won't get rid of). I don't like the regular Boring Black laptop cases and Typo doesn't carry 13" cases.
Hopefully this weekend+Monday, I'll be able to get all my study done and my room cleaned (yet again).

Some random babbling.

I had such a good day today. Granted I didn't do as much study as I had planned (simply because walking to the library is further from the bus stop than campus centre and my calves REALLY HURT) but nonetheless, it was a great day.

I did some exercise before breakfast because I read somewhere that it boosts your metabolism. Endorphins are so good <3

Now that I think of it, I didn't eat a lot today, which is quite concerning because normally I eat a lot. I had: 2 bowls of pumpkin soup, a croissant, an orange and three Tim Tams from 6AM-7PM. I feel fine though, like no dizziness or anything.

Ohohoho :)

I met a new person today. I've seen him around once or twice (and I remember thinking he was pretty cute) and today, we were officially introduced. Hehe :3 I felt kinda awkward because I was kinda sleepy and I didn't really know what to say.

Do you guys find it awkward when you know someone because they have mutual friends with you, you know their name and occasionally have a mini "stare-off" but have never actually talked to them? It's happened to me a few times -awks-

Frustrating Week
I'm really am sorry since I didn't make that post I promised. This week has just been really stressful and frustrating, both in terms of study and in my personal life.

Korean BBQ for Mother's Day
Some makeup purchases~
Korean again for my friend's birthday lunch.

Hopefully I'll get back to regular posts this week. I'm really thankful that you guys still comment when I do post.

Harry Potter 7 (part I)
I got the job!
A lady from DJs called me the day after the interview, and told me I was successful! I was half asleep when I got the phone call.
Me: (=_=") Hello?
Lady on the phone: Congratulations
Me: (=_0) Really?
Yesterday, some girls in the Class of `10 organised a mass viewing of the newest Harry Potter release. It was definitely a lot more fun watching it with people you know. We probably laughed more than most people at the silliest jokes. I thought the 7 Potters was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. Of all the movies, this one has the funniest scenes.
We cheered and clapped for Ron and George. I think all of the girls cried when Dobby died.

"Such a beautiful place to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend, Harry Potter"

There are plenty more brilliant scenes. However, if you have not read the series, you WILL NOT understand what is going on, like for the other movies (bar the first). So read the books!

After the fantastic movie that was Harry Potter, I had to bum around for a while in the city before meeting up with my parents.
So I stayed at Starbucks. I think my new favourite hot drink is Caramel Macchiato (?). That and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice basically were my hang out buddies at Starbucks for 2.5 hours.

The Tram Restaurant. Definitely very touristy, but it's a nice experience.
The waiters were very lovely and one guy, John was definitely the funniest waiter I've met. It was a 5 course meal and the food was really yummy :)

The best course was definitely the dessert. I chose the sticky date pudding with the butterscotch sauce. That dessert is to die for. I want to learn how to make that sauce!

My sister and I bought my mum a Chanel Lipstick and a necklace :)
Chanel wraps their stuff really nicely :)

Speaking of food, this is basically what I've been having for lunch for the days I haven't been going out.
Shin ramyun with cuttlefish balls and fish sausage.
This was the funniest thing me and my mum saw at the Asian grocery. So we bought it. Yeah, if there's something that looks interesting, then my mum and I will buy it.

I think I'll have a few more interesting posts lined up in the next few days!

The Job Interview

Job interview today.
I tried to go to sleep early last night, but I ended up getting only 5 hours of sleep. =.="
Needless to say, I looked half dead when I woke up. It actually felt like a school day.
To try and energise myself, I made coffee (which tasted kind of funny...) and put on a facemask before I did my makeup.

It was a group interview, and there were something like 12ish people. I was the youngest there. The girl who sat next to me looked quite young, so I asked her if she had just finished high school. She said she was doing her Masters. Holy shisus how embarrassing.
Everyone there was studying at uni so it made me look really.. inexperienced?

Anyway, Jessica (the lady who was taking the group interview) showed us a slideshow about David Jones. I learned quite a bit about David Jones from that slideshow.

After that, there was a group activity. They gave us scenarios and we had to come up with a plan of action and how we'd deal with the customer. My imputs were largely ignored. ><"

I had to go buy part of my mum's birthday present afterward. My sister and I planned on getting my mum a Chanel lipstick. It had actually cost $50 instead of the $60+ I had thought. $50 isn't bad considering makeup from Priceline or something costs half of that. I'd rather pay double for the Chanel.
The lady at the Chanel counter wrapped up the lipstick with the Chanel wrapping paper and ribbon. It's so pretty!

My hair is healthier now.. the ends aren't as fried as they were. Maybe my hair will start to grow?! My friend once told me that to grow long hair quickly, you should think dirty thoughts. Haha!

Gaming: Summer To Play List
I don't know about you guys, but I've been playing games when I'm not going out.

I've been playing games on my DS and my laptop. My laptop is possibly the worst laptop to be playing games on. It heats up easily and when it does, it will shut down randomly :(

I haven't bought Sims 3 for myself yet. It's really cheap at JB Hi Fi right now, it's $49. I'm thinking of also buying the Ambitions expansion too. But I have a bunch of other things to buy for other people, I'm thinking of postponing this purchase :(

Just like I'm postponing my Age of Empires III and Heroes of Might and Magic purchases.

I've rekindled my love for Maplestory. There's a huge change happening in December. In Korea, they named it Big Bang. GMS wants to rename it and they had no creativity so they're asking players to help name it. Why can't it just stay Big Bang?

For those of you who play or have played, you might know of Genesis. It basically attacks the entire map and people like to use it to train really quickly and sell leech. After Big Bang, there's a cool down on Genesis, to prevent people from super spamming it. I guess people got pretty mad at this, and quit their Bishops/Priests.

They're also bringing out three new classes (as if they didn't have enough already) and from the videos I've seen, they're so overpowered it's not even funny anymore. Zakum solo in 3 minutes?!

For my DS, I've been playing Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. Initially I was interested because I had played Heroes of Might and Magic on PC and I really liked it (despite being horrible at strategy...). It's very different to the usual PC format, but it's so addictive, I've stayed up until 6AM playing this game.

I'm also getting into Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar. The other Harvest Moon games were really confusing and it seemed like you had to do so many things in so little time. The gameplay is different, in that you don't ship items in your shipping container, but you sell them at your stall once a week at the Grand Bazaar.

I want to finish all the Professor Layton games, including the new one that was just released. But I'm not very good at puzzles =="
Alright, the nerd is signing out :)
