Holidays begin~!
Exams are finally finished and even then there are still so many things to do! So I have a super huge post full of (not so) pretty pictures :)
I got my glasses done (about time too!). They're just cheap frames I bought while I was in China and just had prescription lenses put in. They make me look smart right?

I've also been eating a lot of sweet potatoes during exam period. I love sweet potatoes so much but the prices are rising so I've been eating less of them.

I found the creme caramel puddings at the supermarket. I loved these as a little kid and it's been YEARS since I've had one.

After my exams were done, my parents took me to La Porchetta for dinner. It was a new branch that had opened recently around my area. I ordered a parmagiana but I didn't realise how big it was until it got to the table!
For my dad's birthday I bought him a cake from David Jones. Chocolate Hazelnut! The cake is super rich so eating too much of it would make you feel sick.
Last week I met up with Cute guy for coffee and whatnot. If you follow my Tumblr then you'll know who I'm talking about. We went to Koko Black and I ordered a Iced Mocha. Unfortunately, that day I was feeling sick and I didn't really have the appetite to have chocolate. So I only drank a little and left the rest untouched.

That day I also met up with a couple of high school friends for some late night karaoke. Plenty of strangers there too, but after a few drinks things weren't so awkward.
Yesterday I caught up with a old friend of mine for frozen yoghurt :) I also felt like eating macarons so I bought some. The cute guy at the Cupcake Family convinced me to buy 6 for $10. Haha~!

I also lost my wallet a week ago so I had to buy a new one to replace it. It's a cheap wallet from Strandbags to tide me over until I can afford a Miu Miu one. Teehee.

Today, I bought some new makeup and put a order on ebay for a 120 palette. The SA at the Dior counter was so lovely that I bought a lipstick as well as the foundation. It's called Rock n Roll (720) ^^

I also had my hair cut short(er). The hairdresser cut my fringe WAY too short so now I have to pin it up otherwise it looks strange :(

OKAY THAT'S THE LAST MONTH OR SO RECAPPED :D
Next post will be after Anime Camp~!

Review - Dior 5 Color Designer Eyeshadow Palette
If you remember, I bought a Dior palette (somewhat on an impulse) and I promised a review.
QUALITY
The quality of the eyeshadows is very good. Compared to the 'drugstore' brands, it is better, the shadows are silky. They're aren't powdery at all.
PIGMENTATION
The white shade is a bit of a hit and miss. When I use the sponge tip applicators that come with the quad, the white can be seen. If I use a eyeshadow brush, it's a completely different story.
The gold is very lovely, it's a lot more orange than it is yellow though.
The pink shimmery colour isn't pigmented but the glitter is quite nice if you like glitter. If you use it after you apply on the middle of your eyelid after applying all the colors, you can get a really nice dimensional effect with it.
The brown colour is very nice, neutral shade. It's nothing special, but it is of good quality.
EYELINER
The cream liner is very good. I've tried a lot of liners and a lot of them just crease because of my oily eyelids. It does fade over time, which I'm not surprised at, but it doesn't crease.
AFTER A FEW HOURS
Eventually by the end of the day the colours sort of mix together and crease a little bit. I do think it's not the fault of the shadows though. I do have oily lids and I use MAC's paint pot in Painterly as a primer (which isn't the best as a primer). I have yet to purchase a really good primer.
Is it worth the $103 that you would pay? Yes and no. You essentially pay for the packaging and the better quality eyeshadows. For me, it is a really convenient eyeshadow quad because I can just use that quad for my eyes. I don't need to grab different eyeshadows and a separate eyeliner. If you're happy to use eyeshadows that are slightly lesser quality but a lot cheaper, then this isn't the palette you should invest in.

Hello Winter~ ♡
Winter has finally come!

(Excuse the awkward photo. It was windy and rainy!)
I have a horrible propensity to spend money.

Today after work, I wanted to buy some makeup since it feels like it's been a while since I've bought any...
Unsatisfied with what Priceline had to offer, I turned my eyes to..

Dior!

The packaging is so beautiful, that it was worth every cent of the $103 that I paid (well, I paid $80~ since I have a staff discount). The weight of the packaging is really nice. Compared to the drugstore palettes, the weight is a lot heavier and more stable in your hand. I haven't used it or even swatched it yet. I'm saving its first use for Monday (hehe ^^). It comes with two brushes, a sponge tip and one with an angled brush to use with the liner.

The SA even gave me a sample of Miss Dior despite the fact that I had knocked over one of the perfumes with my bag earlier. She was so lovely about it. (I love where I work haha!)

I'll let you guys know how it goes and whether or not it's worth your money :)
A few days ago, I was sent something by Maybelline. Recently they came out with a new product called Babylips so they're sending out samples to random people who've signed up for their newsletters. It's like a lip balm concept. It's not the most moisturising lipbalm but it smells really good.

I don't think I'm going to use the $3 off Voucher though... I have too many mascaras :( And the next one I was hoping to get was YSL.
I also bought a Hello Kitty case for my Macbook. My poor Macbook keeps getting all these weird scuffs and stains (nothing a damp cloth won't get rid of). I don't like the regular Boring Black laptop cases and Typo doesn't carry 13" cases.

Hopefully this weekend+Monday, I'll be able to get all my study done and my room cleaned (yet again).

I'm Good at Spending Money
Like I promised, this post is about shopping~!
I recently bought a lot of stuff...
I bought a new backpack from Yesstyle. My old one is quite irritating since it's a drawstring close. It arrived just a couple of days ago and the shipping was super quick! It's still available here.

After work today, I went to buy a few things. I bought the mini sized bottles of the Harajuku Lovers perfume. I wasn't sure which one was better so I bought the mini ones for $15. They're super cute so even when they've run out, at least they can sit on my table and look pretty.
A toner from the Faceshop.
And a sample that the lady
And the pair of shoes I've had my eye on for a few weeks now! I got them in black since the tan ones didn't come in my size. They're still super cute in black and I got them for $100 (reduced from the original $140 I saw them for).
I need a more efficient way of storing makeup. Do you guys have any suggestions as to some nice storage solutions? I think the regular plastic drawer stacks look really boring so I want something cute to store my makeup.Green Tea Frozen Yogurt from Cacao Green (Love love love!)

My new haircut! Unfortunately it only looks good when I tie my hair up. My hair isn't long enough to look really nice :(
